Sunday

My sensitivity to light and optics heavily inspired this piece. I took a mirror and bounced the late afternoon sun through this trio of Coke bottles to create the stippled pattern of highlights and shadows on my disheveled shed door. I loved the juxtaposition of those light qualities on the deep wood grain on the door, and the peeling paint and wood of the trim below. Though theres not much to it, I thought the shadows created by the pebbles and debris on the concrete were a nice final touch.

I think I'll give up now! Brilliant textures, truly inspirational.
