Cat's Eye II

I have completed a tutorial for this piece, so if you are interested in seeing it, step by step from start to finish, click here!

This is my third ATC/ACEO!

"Cat's Eye II" is an original work (2.5" x 3.5") in Scratchboard, with Acrylic Paint. The technique involves scratching with an X-acto knife, and painting, numerous layers of each. Very fun, but sometimes time consuming!

This card is SOLD - to view other cards for sale at ArtCardsWanted.com - click to view Christina's store!

Thanks to everyone who views or comments on this image - I'm having a lot of fun with this ATC/ACEO thing - I strongly recommend it for other artists, if you haven't already tried it! :)

you are my hero!!!! i've been doing scratchboard for the last 22 years and while i still enjoy it very much i've been wanting to branch out(obviously it takes a lot to get me out of the box) and i've found wonderful examples of colouring there's been no way of figuring out how to do it(i've tried several different inks without any luck) so this was just incredible. you do beautiful work.thank you so much for being so generous and sharing.the mark of a truly gifted artist is some one who doesn't feel compelled to keep their techniques secret. thank-you thank-you thank-you.
