This is one of a series of paintings of imaginary landscapes arising from my love of Wales and Welsh mythology. The basic painting is worked in acrylics, then elements of collage are added, worked into, re-evaluated, worked into again...the whole thing is put aside for a while...then the process starts again lol. When to stop...I always seem to know, but it's difficult!

I too am glad to see your work again. It's like a patchwork painting! I like how you collaged youir paintings on top of your paintings. This is very thought provoking and inspiring and so much fun to look at.

picasso once remarked that a painting is never finished, it is never done,,,,i agree as so many artist have. there is a collage layer technique going on here that is so moving and powerful.....layers upon layers build up the image and tell a story that to the viewer with carefull attention can only be described as "poARTry" but yet with such a simple glance can easily see and define it as true art from the heART.

A very colourful abstract Iain.....I am imagining some funny things in this piece.... I can see a man in a mirror..and a man in a boat of some kind....I really like the golden yellow...must be some very interesting Welsh symbology in this Art......Fascinating abstract!!!
