This painting is a reflection on the life of the Italian cyclist, Marco Pantani, an athlete of great promise who unfortunately was caught up in the shady world of drugs and abuse that exists in professional sport. He had great talent and was a humble and sensitive guy...the colours celebrate this, and the many great victories he took in his short life.

Hello Ian! Happy New Year! What an explosion of colour and texture, of light s and deep darks. A brilliant tribute to a lost but talented athlete, before the lights finally went out. Briliant artwork!
