Cirque Fatal

CIRQUE FATAL everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die This mixed media drawing arose from a spontaneous insight into the paradoxical nature of the mind which causes the endless cycle of life and death. It was on this particular day - January 17, 1998 - that I gained a sudden glimpse into the true meaning and significance of the spiritual term “singlemindedness” or “onepointedness”. Because any achievement requires a mindstream cleansed of contradictions, conscious and unconscious alike. After a deep and honest look at my thoughts and feelings, my meditation session ended with a good laugh at myself. And gratitude for the appearances in my life that faithfully mirror whatever is truly on my mind. This Meditational Password reminds us that we are all participants in this circus called life. Let’s face it – it’s hilarious! This Print are a limited edition of only 108, NO OPEN EDITION. 108 is the number of spiritual completion. Mantras and prayers are traditionally counted with Malas or Rosaries, consisting of 108 beads each. Since ancient liberating secrets are concealed within Pono's artwork, she wishes her prints to circulate around the globe like Rosaries of Freedom Chant mantras. This artwork is museum grade giclee on canvas, numbered and hand signed by the artist, and included is the artist's story.
