Two Rocks

TWO ROCKS In September of the year 1999, twentyfour people (including myself) ventured on a divinely guided journey “In Search Of Shambhala”. It was one of the most extraordinary adventures of my life. For centuries, the existence of a hidden paradise on Earth has captured people’s imagination. Books have been written in exploration of this mythical kingdom. And in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Shambhala plays the pivotal role in the rescue mission of humanity during the “endtimes”. So there we were, in the sparsely populated steppes of Mongolia. And as we approached the borders of Shambhala, a land invisible to ordinary eyesight, all trees and all rocks suddenly displayed faces, their eyes watching us attentively. I was stunned, wondering whether to trust my senses. Then my companions confirmed having the very same experience. My relationship to trees and rocks has never been the same since. This mixed media drawing is dedicated to Shambhala whose essence lives within each of us and can be perceived with the eyes of a loving heart. This Print are a limited edition of only 108, NO OPEN EDITION. 108 is the number of spiritual completion. Mantras and prayers are traditionally counted with Malas or Rosaries, consisting of 108 beads each. Since ancient liberating secrets are concealed within Pono's artwork, she wishes her prints to circulate around the globe like Rosaries of Freedom Chant mantras. This artwork is museum grade giclee on canvas, numbered and hand signed by the artist, and included is the artist's story.
