Lake Louise

Idealy, when we go out to photograph a place we have seen in books and post cards, we want the weather conditions to be just right to give us the type of image we are looking for. This is rarely the case, however. I have been to Lake Louise in Banff National Park three times since I started photographing seriously and never has the light been what I wanted. On this last visit though, I will admit the weather conditions offered me some excellent situations that I could not have imagined or expected. The magic in the photo is in the nature. No alterations were done to the processed slide.

Artist Reply: Thank you. After visiting the lake four times or so and not getting what i wanted I was really pleased to see how this image turned out.

Very different view/colour theme from the famous Lake Louise that everybody else takes pictures of... I see that you go looking and find these different faces... Neat photographs, Peter~!
