Shark Biscuits

Shark Biscuits Oil Paint on Stretched Canvas 168cm x 89cm In a world consumed by chaos, control, and conformity, the surfing subculture exists as an act of quiet rebellion. Freedom from society’s restrictions and taboos. Shark Biscuits captures this moment of escape. Where the ocean offers a sanctuary from the relentless pressures of modern life. Here, camaraderie replaces competition. And friendships are forged in salt and sunlight. ? At the heart of surfing lies an intimacy with nature. That's why I have painted the people, their belongings, and the nature around them merging into one another. To emphasize this unspoken understanding of oneness between the natural world around them, and each other. Meanwhile, beyond the dunes, the world goes mad. Driven by greed, division, and disconnection. But here, among the waves, there is only the moment. Just the pull of the tide. The crash of the swell. And the sun sinking into a horizon untouched by human hands.
