Yet the unfortunate, those who live in poverty and homelessness remain, on the periphery of our vision. Present, yet unseen. Their struggles are softened by knowing that there are charities out there to help them. Yet the truth is far more complex. Poverty and homelessness is an unavoidable consequence of a system that depends on winners and losers. ? This painting is about those unfortunate people. Forcing us to see what we choose to ignore.
