Also, on occasion, referred to as my altered ego. I picked up online some watercolor paper and thought I'd play around with mixing and matching just to see what would fall out. I'm afraid I like to pervert watercolor with color pencil and gel pen. It's a failing of mine, I'm afraid. This is an 8 by 5.5 inches multimedia piece on heavyweight w/c paper. More of that Original Jones Art experimentation going on in northwest Austin, TX.

Feels like this time gradients was your top concern, Charles. What a twist! We're still warm here. How about you?

Artist Reply: Like most things, it has positives and negatives. I thought the positives outweighed the other and so posted it, Nikolay. I'm getting a bit long in the tooth for 'experimentation' but find it does shake me out of my comfort zone which is needed occasionally. It is currently 46 degrees F and overcast. So not cold per se but---since we are most of the year in the high 90's or even triple digits---we put on our light jackets. :)

Really like the added color , makes it pop also the green in the cheek for that fauvist look Very cool Charles : ) Hope your day is going well

Artist Reply: I think if I do a few more of these on w/c paper, I'll get used to it. Not bad for a first attempt. I'm watching another old war movie with Victor Mature---Tank Command. Late 50's. :)

Hey Charles , what a coincidence or not? A new painting is called Dopamine !

Artist Reply: I confess, Erik. I was wondering about a title and, having seen your recent upload, toyed around with a variation---title-wise, at least. I thought you might get a kick out of it. Ha. Hope you and yours are doing great in big A. :)

Artist Reply: Thanks, Joanie! Well, he is that, isn't he? Hope you and yours are doing great. :)
