On a sheet of backing paper, I drew these small drawings one after the other. I was hoping something would materialize that I could use for a Christmas card. As you see, that didn't happen. But I thought I'd share. I see several sketches that have some potential for future use, so it wasn't in vain. Most drawing isn't in vain. At least in my experience which goes back a day or two. This is a gel pen drawing on regular bond paper measuring 8.5 by 11 inches. Original Jones Art doesn't seem to be in a holiday frame of mind in northwest Austin, Texas.

. Diversity at stake. Very nice one, Charles.

Artist Reply: Idiots applaud as they are led to the slaughter, these days, Nikolay. If I were still writing poetry I'd be tempted to write Ode To An Idiot. I got an 'exciting' email informing me that OpenAI has announced Sora, a new text to video app. Yippee. Hope you are doing great. :)

btw , the title is hilarious : )

Artist Reply: I did a bit of thinking on the subject of AI. If knuckleheads with no talent and, essentially, no depth or heart, embrace the cold zombie that is Artificial Intelligence---an oxymoron, if I've ever heard one--then that will elevate the work of the traditionalists, not diminish it. Per usual, folks are too shortsighted and/or stupid to realize that. And how satisfying is coming up with a bit of doggerel to plug into a program/app be? Though it probably does tax their limited vocabulary, Dave. :)

Very expressive Charles . Your work has a more serious look in black & white. Hope your week is going well : )

Artist Reply: It's in graphic black and white, Dave, with no apologies and no excuses. The garbage men have been by. Everything is downhill after that. Ha. As I usually get my inspiration from my mind-set/emotions, I haven't been able to pull out a suitable image as yet. I have received your card BTW, but I won't open it until after I've sent yours off. A slight bit of motivation--I hope. :)
