Modern audiences who don't do a lot of reading about history, probably believe a hero flies about in tights and cape performing unbelievable feats of daring do. Or is a John Wick or a Jack Reacher.. This last bunch, and there are lots more movies featuring a man or a woman doing the same thing, can best be described as anti-heroes. And very very fictional. If there were such people who could escape a gauntlet of death and destruction, killing dozens of bad guys with hardly a scratch, the military would only need a few such individuals on the ground at any one time. But history has a lot of heroes who did not exceed the laws of probability but were no less brave and courageous. Unfortunately, most died for what they believed in. Sometimes they died not knowing exactly what it was they were dying for but knew they were doing the right thing. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. Original Jones Art, still standing in northwest Austin, Texas.

Maybe your character doesn't need a cape, but it might look cool : ) Growing up in the 60's and 70's there sure were plenty of superheroes to be influenced by .... I guess there's still a part of me that believes that fighting for truth, justice and the American way is what we should strive for ... however the cynical side of me thinks that sadly these may be 3 things that have nothing to do with each other .Ray Steele 01 Dec 2024
