24" x 30" chalk pastel and watercolour with coloured pencils and shellac. Painted for myself but sold to a tiger fan in my workshop in 1994.

Stunningly beautiful portrait and masterful use of the mixed media... i love it... i'm very interested in knowing HOW you used shellac... because the effects in this are amazing... (adding to favorites) and also to the images of the day :)

Artist Reply: Hi Tammy. Thankyou for your kind comments. The shellac is a drawing ink that I buy in the UK. I use white only for highlights and whiskers and any other fine work where a pencil won't do. Pencils won't give high definition, but the crispness of the ink, or sometimes white watercolour does just fine. The tiger is an old painting now! I've looked very briefly at your work and you have talent. I shall take time to look better when I get a chance. XX A
