When I was a child I really loved wandering about in the woods near my house. Getting out of the house and under a clear blue sky rejuvenated and changed my perspective on the world and especially my very small slice of it. Even now, getting out of the house and wandering about my small yard does wonders for my psyche. Maybe if we all went out and 'let the sky in' more often we'd be happier and more balanced? The natural world versus our increasingly unnatural lives. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's the newest bit in a long line of bits that make up Original Jones Art as he awaits his first cup of coffee here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Couldn't agree more! Definitely that wonderful dose of letting the sky in daily! I'm up at 4 am, out for my morning walk as soon as it's light enough for me to place one foot in front of the other and enjoying the sky, the trees, the fresh air, and my "alone" time. Of course, up at 4 every morning means I'm probably in bed by 8 pm to get my beauty sleep but it's worth it because any later for my walk would mean I'd be sharing my time with traffic, other walkers, etc. I love my life and hope you love yours. I always love your art!
