Pretty Hairy

Although they are actually dead flowers, faded thistles are quite fascinating. Soft and hairy flowers on spiky stems. Their thorns come as a warning not to pick them, but if you take the risk and study them close up, you are rewarded with this little beauty. I have included this in my series "Pretty Dead Stuff" which is a photo art series that will look good on the wall and perhaps start a conversation.
