The way it used to be: Burnt Bridge

Since the bridge of the village of Heienbeek was torched in the late 16th century stabbed, this hamlet is stuck with the name Burnt bridge. An average village but strongly connected to it Brussels - Scheldt canal. The watercolor shows a tow of cargo ships drawn towards Brussels.

Interesting and pleasant landscape with buildings, water and boats. I like it. Can't tell if "photo" in corner is real or painted.

Artist Reply: Thanks Linda, the photo in the corner is the old postcard after which I made the watercolor.
