Oil on Canvas Board, 30 x 20 cm. Painted October 2014 on-site, depicts rough weather off Cornish Atlantic coast looking towards Portheras Cove and Gunnard. That morning, Gonzalo, the hurrricane that hit England's W.coast after leaving the Bermuda's, was on the wane. This was painted on my easel anchored with a bag of stones. Even the birds were scarce. I can still feel the wind in my face and hear the thunder of the waves on the rocks. Signed lower RHC.

very nicely done !! i like this very much !!Anonymous Guest 02 Dec 2014
Well depicted with good movement in the water and solid looking rocks. Colour is very well handled from what would seem to be a limited palette giving good harmony. Like the touches of red repeated throughout.John Cappello 01 Dec 2014
