Neat concept, excellently carried out! Say, Anneke, how many shades of green do you in all the flora? What a great tool the magnifying device is in picking them out and seeing what a fine job is done on\with them, as usual and everything else here. Most of all to my pleasure the back of the sweater (ought to be a contest for best sweater folds, etc.). And also of the skirt, and then the wonderful accurate observation of the funny way girls stand, especially in high heels. Say, I just saw a little plug along side here for your MERMAID. I don't think I've seen that before (I'd remember!), but there's the long red hair hanging down the back again (interesting curving out where, I guess, the mermaid costume begins. Anyway, I'm making a resolution to come back before 1915 and count how many of your women have red-hair that is straight. (Sorry that sentence is so awkward, but any shorter way to place "straight" seemed to connect it to women rather than the hair.) I'd better cut out here with a final word of praise: a fine painting worth a lot of pleasant time examining all the details and the delightful whole scene, so excellently painted and welcoming this new year for all of us -- and with such a lovely twinkling of the painter's eye!
