I love Lake Michigan, and on this warm sunlit day at the end of summer, it was so peaceful just looking out from the pier to the horizon. The water was calm and the sky many shades of blue. Far to the right horizon is part of a big ship traveling to Chicago that I did not see until I examined the photo later. To the right center are rocks that are part of the walkway that goes far out into the lake in a gentle curve as a breaker to protect the ships in the harbor.
