This lone tree with its artistically arranged branches sits on the shore of Wampum Lake. On the lake seagulls and ducks continue fishing hoping the lake doesn't freeze over. The tree is falling asleep and its golden leaves on the ground will be changed into compost for next spring while it sleeps under a winter white blanket of snow. When the lake freezes, the brave fishermen will come to put up their tents and carve a circle in the lake ice to try their luck at catching some fish. Too risky for me.
