Tiger Swallowtail

A tiger swallowtail sits on a butterfly bush in my back yard. With its wings so tattered, you wonder how it can fly at all.

Fine capture; it always amazes me at the end of the season, that they are still flying!

This is a beautiful capture of a wonderful butterfly again Emily. I think that it is the front part of its wings that would cause it to have problems flying more then the rear. Could have been weather, a bird or something like that which would have caused these problems.
