America's Tears___ When terrorists hit the World Trade Center... Our sense of safety was stripped away... Debris crashed down & smoke filled the sky... And America's tears fell today...___ Innocent people were on these planes... On vacations, business and more... Just going about their daily lives... With no vision of what was in store...___ Now a plane has hit the Pentagon... Something we thought couldn't be done... We no longer have a safety zone... No place to hide, no place to run...___ And what of the people on this plane... Who were innocent pawns in a fight... Lives taken by ignorant criminals... Who didn't have that right...___ Now another plane is down in a field... Aimed at the White House or Air Force One... Did the passengers give their lives... To prevent this deed being done...___ Imagine the panic they must have felt... When they realized what was their fate... They fought in vain to save their flight... Brave acts performed too late...___ There are so many unknown heroes... Names & faces we may never know... People who died for no other reason... Than that they had some place to go...___ In the buildings many are missing... Thousands maybe, they say... Just people doing business as usual... Working as they did every day...___ Now their loved ones are waiting... Praying as never before... For a chance to see them one more time... Come walking through the door...___ Terrorists - nameless, faceless cowards... What were they fighting for... Was it just their hate for our freedom... That caused this vicious act of war...___ You'd think they'd fight on their own soil... So they could live in a land of the free... Is peace & harmony so rare in their world... That it's a concept they can't even see...___ They struck out and tried to destroy... Those who are what they'll never be... We have so much that they'll never have... They don't know that our love is the key...___ We acknowledge that they have hurt us... And God knows how much we've cried... Our hearts go out to survivors... And we grieve for those who have died...___ There's desolation we couldn't imagine... Dark terror we'd never known before... A heart breaking form of destruction... That rocked America to it's core...___ But we are the strongest country... Yes, we'll rise from the ashes again... We will find those who planned this attack... And this is a war that we will win...___ Justice will be handed down... It may take months, maybe years... But we won't rest until we know...
