I have a photograph much like the one Ropati Leaso-Cobb seems to have taken, from which this painting was done. I can remember the way the air and sand felt, how the lake smelled, how cool blue the mountains were, in the distance ~ on the day I took my photo. This painting brings me right back to those moments. Capturing a mood, an energy, an essence of time or space is not easy. This is just lovely!
