Julie,this is beautiful,I always loved your landscape works,such a softness to them and wonderfully composed,this reminds me of the large farm i grew up on in New York,we had some wonderful trees to climb and beautiful rolling fields that smelled sweet with hay toward cutting time,those were good times.

This is one of my most favorite of your works. Of those elements i like most is your palette which is right out of the late 1930's or 1940's, which gives a nostalgic feel. Second is the way you brought the composition together with diagonal strokes of light earth-tone colors. Then you have fixed the center of interest by using the intense autumn colors of the trees in the distance, and juxtaposing the linear elements of the farm structures against the abstract shapes of the foliage. Another first rate work Julie!

This painting is made even more attractive by the texture in your strokes; adds to that rustic feel of a barn scene. This painting makes me want to take my various barn photos and turn them into art! That's called inspiration and almost every painting of yours inspires me. This is great stuff, Julie!
