Yesterday I visited friends in Ozark. On my way home, I stopped to take these photos with my iPhone from the Aux Arc Bridge over the Arkansas River. In the top photo you can see that I was very lucky and a train came. The Lock & Dam are at the top right. I must say that Arkansas in the summer reminds me very much of Panama with its mountains and Green every where. The second photo I have painted in the fall, both in watercolor and acrylic.(They are posted in my AW Portfolio.) I got photos both with the train and without. These are what you see on each side of the bridge. Ozark is, indeed, a delightful town. And their Rivertowne BBQ is the best barbecue around. People come from all over to partake. :) And the Aux Arc Bridge is the 16th most beautiful bridge in the U.S. in its category. (Steel, I think) Also Bill Clinton considered buying a Huge historical house on the other side of the river there in Ozark. He used to go to a lot of parties there when he was Arkansas Governor. The owners of that house are the ones who bought our Ozark house originally. And the river there is the most beautiful with its cliffs on which to navigate a boat. I hope that you enjoy!!!

Throw in a few boats (well, not literally) and some kids fishing along the bank and you've got the makings for a nice Arkansas scene. Oh, and Old 99 puffing up the tracks.Kate Gallagher 19 Jun 2011

That iPhone has an impressive lens. These pics are lovely. There is a piece of software you may be interested in. It's called PTGui. It's a very nice panorama stiching tool. you can take pictures with your iPhone, making sure they overlap a little bit, run them through PTGui, and no one would ever know it wasn't snapped with a $1200 nikon. :-)surekha rao 19 Jun 2011
