I know of folks who almost lost their feet and hands because of these little venomous creatures---I would hate to be bitten by one--but I've come close to rattlesnakes in woods--TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT--YIKES!!!!

Artist Reply: Yeah, I don't want to get really close to either one. I'll just take the shots & run...

i hateeeeeeeeeee it!!!!! :)

Artist Reply: Yeah, there was a time when I wouldn't have gotten within 10 feet of him; now I'm trying to get closer. Go figure..... Thanks for stopping by!

yes,got a flyer from work on the danger of these spiders, with a drawing of one, this is much better for identification, great shot!

Artist Reply: Thanks; glad you like it! I live in the country so I see way more of these than I'd like to!

OMG, I have heard these can be found in Nebraska and since we moved to a house with a basement, I am always terrified Joey will get bit by one. I've been wanting to know what one looks like to educate myself, even though I'm highly arachnophobic! Thanks for this, couldn't have asked for a clearer shot *shiver*!

Artist Reply: Yeah, I'm never happy to find one but they seem to like it here! Thanks for comments & glad to help you out on their appearance!

An amazing shot and capture....now I'm on my way the other direction!!

Artist Reply: Thanks; appreciate comments! I'm hoping they go the other way; they're not as reclusive as one would like!

fantastic capture! deadly little arachnid

Artist Reply: Thanks so much. The deadly little arachnid part tends to make me keep my guard up when around these little guys! Like to shoot 'em, don't trust 'em!

I hate those, they are highly toxic and are flesh eating when bit, we had alot of them in Missouri, always having our place exterminated every couple months inside and out. But this is an awesome action shot, for they are quick. Great shot!!!

Artist Reply: I'm not real fond of them either! Thanks for comments!

nice athmospere of shadow and color - little bit abstract - and frightening

Artist Reply: Yes, I was a little fearful of him but I was careful. (Not as scared as when I shot the black widow, mind you). I'm glad you liked the photo. Thanks for stopping by!
