Purchase Monarto Zoological Park - South Australia - December 2007. A 3 year old male looking up at his keeper -awaiting food. He is one of 6 cheetah cubs who needed hand rearing after their mum died 2 weeks after giving birth. I was one of 4 members of the public lucky enough to be in the enclosure during feeding. A Vulnerable species as listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Likely to become Endangered unless the circumstances threatening its survival and reproduction improve. Vulnerability is mainly caused by habitat loss or destruction. Vulnerable species are monitored and are becoming threatened. (Reference wikipedia). Camera: Minolta SRT-101 (Film SLR) - 40yo. Lens:MC Tele Rokkor-QD 1:3.5, f=135mm, with MTAuto Teleplus 3x, ISO 400, Aperture: 5.6, Shutter Speed: 1/250th sec. Photoshop Elements 6.0 - Auto fix - contrast, smart-fix, colour, contrast, sharpen.
