Polder in the City

My snowlandscape, 100x100cm, and a window with a view.... 35th floor.... Rotterdam. The new appartement of my youngest son, he was trying to find new places for all his paintings. (he has about 23 works from 4 different painters... 23 is a lot... and his appartement hasn't a museum size. The smallest works are 60x70cm and the largest ones are 125x125cm...) His view is endless, he is able to see the Northsea when the weather is ok. In front of his desk view at his 2 homes, the city and the polder. (During the weekends he is living at the farm)

Heerlijk.... Is het niet puur genieten als je kinderen van je werk houden? Het mooiste compliment! Liefs, Olga

Artist Reply: Artist Reply: thanks Olga, but the biggest compliment for me is that he is buying from other artists and that he has developed a personal taste and is choosing his own way. A great deal of his collection is from other artists, David Holcombe, Maaike Vonk and Karel Appel, all original works, no posters or something like that... Since the age of 3 he was visiting galleries and museums with his brother and me. His eyes got the experience... I hope.
