What an amazing painting!

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a photo. So did my boyfriend. This is amazing, the details in the chest feathers are so small, it's incredible!

Artist Reply: Alexandria, thank you so much for your comments. I use an 18/0 script liner and only after several hairs have fallen out, is it perfect. I was once told that what I do is called, extreme photorealism. I was told this by a professional Artist, who happened to see my work in my favorite Art store, as I was picking out a frame. It was this painting he saw. I Think this is a gift from the good Lord, which I found during the time I was caring for my invalid Mother. It was a very stressful time in my life and I could relieve that stress by painting. I have familial benign tremor in my hands and only by the grace of God can I paint at all. I truely believe He gave this to me knowing I would need it for stress relief. Thank you for your interest, Diane Deason

Lovely one Diane. Good eye for detail.

Artist Reply: Thank ;you Brian, I tried a new technique for the snow in the air. I read about it and decided to give it a try. I like the outcome. I would like to share with you. If painting with acrylic, thin white paint by half with water. Hold painting away from you by about 10 to 12 inches. Dip an old Medium strength toothbrush in the thined white paint, Hold it in front of the painting with the brush part pointed toward the canvas and run your thumbnail down the brush part. I scatters the white paint beautifully. I tried it out on a piece of brown paper before putting it on canvas. Give it a try sometime, regards, Diane.
