I've been an artist all my life, and did my first portrait drawing at eighteen months old of my baby brother. I choose subjects to which I feel an emotional connection. I draw, do watercolors, acrylics and oils, jewelry, batik, fabric design, glass mosaic in cement. I like to put texture in my paintings so they have a three dimensional quality and they are done by hand without computer software. My yard is filled with flowers and plants and solar fountains in the summer and admire Monet who spent so much of his life painting what he loved the best, his own back yard.
