A fantastic schedule of events will begin Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the newly established hip and elegant Shade Hotel, located in Manhattan Beach. The venue will set the tone for an evening of wine and spirits tasting. Twenty prestigious vineyards -- such as Beaulieu Vineyards, Sterling Vineyards, Barton & Guestier, F.E. Trimbach, Chateau Potelle, Franciscan Oakville Estates, Ravenswood, Estancia, Opus One, and Vermonte -- will be offering samples of their favorite varietals and vintages. An assortment of decadent hors d'oeuvres, provided by Shade Hotel, will complement this tasting. In addition, a silent auction with items such as vacation packages, private tours, barrel tasting and a day with Natalie Gulbis and other unique items will be there for your taking. A list of auction items will be updated continuously so be sure to check in periodically. During the evening, guests will be invited to purchase a glass of champagne that will enter them in a drawing to win a pearl necklace valued at $750.00 donated by Matt Harris Designs. Artist Karen Pike will showcase her artwork. Both Mark and Karen will donate 20% of all sales back to the Foundation. Lastly, Sunday evening, March 4, 2007, each sponsor participating in the 2nd Annual Charity Golf Classic, will be introduced to the LPGA tour player competing with their foursome on the private roof deck of Shade Hotel. One hour prior to the wine and spirits tasting event, a simply over the top assortment of varietals and hors doeurves will be served in your own private setting. On Monday, March 5, 2007, a 10:00 AM shotgun at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach will be the site for a tremendous day of golf on one of the best golf courses in Southern California. Great gifts, prizes, contests and LPGA tour players will make it a great day!
