The October before my Mother died of brain cancer, my daughter and I and 1 year old grandaughter drove from Michigan to Oklahoma for a family gathering. At that time my mother seemed fine and we had a wonderful time. My Dad and my Nephew know I like pecans, so went to the pecan orchard behind the house and gathered some for me. This view of them walking off, hand in hand, is one of my most precious memories - I hope to do it in oil one day. Thank you for looking!

This poignant painting really moves me to tears...I think it speaks to all who treasured a favorite grandfather as well. Thanks for sharing it.Anonymous Guest 12 Mar 2008
