This is a colored pencil painting that I did based on a photograph that I took with my camera phone. I was in the car outside of Photo Pro waiting for the rain to let up and then go in and pick up some prints. But as I waited, the rain presented a refracted image of the store. I knew that this would make an interesting piece. It is titled "Rain or shine, we're here". The piece was done on Dura-lar polyester film using Dick Blick Greys and Faber-Castell polychromos pencils. The piece measures 8 X 12 inches. To me the interesting aspect of this piece is how the rain converts it from a truly realistic style to more abstract in form. I hope that you too find this interesting.
