He sees all that was, all that is, and all that ever shall be. His knowledge is limitless yet he is forbidden to interfere, and thus is naught but an impotent bystander to the passing of the eons. He has seen mankind's rise from the primordial mists, and has borne witness to our limitless capacity for atrocity. He does not approve.
Artist's note - I started this one a long time ago, and like most of my work it was abandoned for a period of time. I finally finished it, and am pleased for the most part, although the expression wasn't quite what I was after. One of the many things I need to work on.
