This pagoda was dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, Thien Hau, also known as the Patroness of Sailors. It was built in the early 19th century, and one of its outstanding features is the intricately carved village and figures around the roof. The many colorful wooden people, buildings and even dragons depict ancient Cantonese legends.
