Self Portrait

Scott Niemi was born in Fitchburg, MA. He completed his formal education at Florida Atlantic University where he received a M.F.A. in Visual Art degree. Currently, he is a professor of Design at Becker College (Worcester, MA). In the past, he has worked as a part-time lecturer at Franklin Pierce University (Rindge, NH), as an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University (Boca Raton, FL), and for The Palm Beach Institute of Contemporary Art (Lake Worth, FL).

Since 1987 he has been represented in many shows including The Cambridge Art Association National Prize Show (Cambridge, MA), Hortt 42 (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), and The Society of the Four Arts Annual Exhibition of Contemporary American Paintings (Palm Beach, FL). His work is in hundreds of private collections ranging from Beverly Hills to Australia. His public collections include the Oak Brook Bank (Oak Brook, IL), The Essex Inn (Chicago), The Schacknow Museum of Fine Arts (Plantation, FL) and UMAss Medical Center (Worcester, MA). He resides in Southern NH.
