Call for Entries - 2024 Theme Calendars

ArtWanted already allows every artist to create their own calendar to sell. This year, we wanted to try something different. We want to add 4 new themed calendars to our lineup. These theme calendars will include artwork/photography from 12 different artists, one for each month of the year. Every artist can submit one image for consideration for each calendar theme.

Calendar Themes

The four calendar themes we have decided to create this year are:
1. Landscapes / Outdoor
2. Animals / Wildlife
3. Fantasy / Sci-Fi
4. Floral Photography

We plan to include both artwork and photography with each calendar, except for the floral calendar, which will only contain photographs.

Call For Entries

From now until the end of the month, all ArtWanted artists can submit one image for each of the 4 calendars. Image must be high-resolution (at least 2,000 pixels wide) and landscape images are preferred. In October, our staff will review all of the submissions and pick 12 images from 12 different artists for each calendar. Those that are selected to be included will be notified via email. NOTE: The artwork/artists in the image above were selected at random from last year's calendar submissions. This artwork is not the final selection for the 2024 theme calendars.

Artist Compensation

For our normal calendars, the artist earns an average of $6 per calendar sold, for a calendar that only contains artwork for one artist. For these theme calendars, we will take that $6 and divide it by 12, so each artist will earn $0.50 USD for each calendar sold. Commissions will be paid out once a month after sales have been calculated for the previous month. Artists will also receive additional exposure to their artwork through this project.

Timeline

Artwork submissions are due by the end of September. After the artists for each calendar are selected, the calendars will be made available for purchase on the ArtWanted website in mid-October. These calendars will be sold exclusively on ArtWanted.com until the spring of 2024.

Personal Calendars

Just as a reminder, you can also create your own personal calendar to sell on ArtWanted at anytime. There is no cost to create and build your own calendar that features your own artwork.
