THEME: Liquid Art

DESCRIPTION: The topic for this contest is LIQUID ART. Drawing and painting water or other liquids is tricky business to make it look right. This contest is for you to submit any artwork you have done that involves any type of liquid. Water, milk, paint, motor oil and any other liquid is open season for this contest. All mediums are accepted (except photography) for this contest.

PRIZES: Everyone that submits an art contest entry wins more exposure to your artwork and kudos from your fellow art friends. The top voted winner of this contest will receive $10 in ArtWanted cash to be used for any product or service on our website.

I have always loved the sea and where it meets the land and surf crashes on the rocks, that is where I am drawn to paint most often. (drawn to paint...funny) I love the sound and the feel and this painting inspired by my favorite spot resonates deeply with me.

On a cold and rainy day, with nothing to do, found an empty vase and put water in the vase. Looked at angle shadows and reflection, found the shape the biggest problem, then the highlights. It was down all by freehand and finished in two and half hours. Done on gray paper 11 X 14 80 #

Hello, I would like to enter this liquid art painting (I call them Oozings) I have done called:

Wooly Mantis Pelts. medium: Acrylic on masonite (paint is infused with a proprietary additive formula that dries hard and flat) Size: 18" x 24"

There's an interesting backstory behind the invention of this technique and the body of work that was done with it. Which i'd be happy to share if anyone is interested!

One of my favorite things I love to do in the Summer is visit Kimball Farm's Water Park in Westford, MA. It's lots of fun..not only does it have animals and ice cream, it also has a water park with this amazing water fall.
