EYEPLANT

here it is folks...

some 4-6 months of work. won't say i worked on it EVERY day but it represents some hundreds of hours work.

WHY ?

i dunno. i've really begun to ask myself questions about if this obsession is worth so much of my life....

comments, critiques, and recipes most welcome!

Thats my Hinsel! Braver than I am. I can't bare my mind and soul like you can. That's why you are more of an artist than I am.

Time well spent Hinsy.Working so long on a piece like that, sometimes you think it will never get done. Then suddenly...its done.I think you will look back fondly of the time spent on this, and actually kinda miss it.You have gained experience and grown in leaps and bounds in skills from when I first saw some of your art.I say,Great job my man!!!

Simply incredible---wait...nothing simple--magnificently incredible... I love the play with shadows and the detailed 3d FX.

thank you most kindly michele!

One of the Russian artists made a good point Hinsel. Photorealism doesn't show the artist's soul or mindset. But what you are doing definitely does give us a hint of that elusive quality that defines the artist and how he perceives. I know it is all subjective but I tend to agree with the Russian. I am basically a human camera and that is all. So that is why I say you are more of an artist than I.

Hinsel, I am always tickled by the tiny little details and touches you take the time to add into your work. They keep the viewer there searching the work for quite a while.

Very interesting iconography you've got going on here. :)
