Leo and Susan.....I am 100% behind this desicion....specialy that socializing part....I just hate that.....sorry....I am not here to socialize....I joined this site for the sake of learning, discovering new venture through art and photography.......i just hate to see that general discussion will spread all over the different forums...i just love this new look...

I'm with you, Bianca.

So what is the bottom line? The $$$$ or the "wars". Obviously the mulla is the winner as you are a business and I understand that. If the "wars" brought in more members (money) then the wars would go on. Remind you of anything?

I truly understand your decision, I just like to point out my observations at times. The Snot

Thank you AW! I am one that actually came onto the site today with the intent of leaving. The negativity was definitely NOT why I joined this site.......I've changed my mind & will stay at this point.

Again, thank you....I hope this does it!!

Way to go, AW !!!!!

I seldom go to the discussion forum because, after only a few visits, I was completely shocked by all the fighting and negative comments and all the sarcasm and criticism. Time spent fighting and criticizing is time mis-used and is time taken away from our artwork and art growth. Time is precious.

I think the purpose of Art Wanted is to build the very best community of talent. It is also a way to become recognized as an artist and to recognize the work of other artists. It is a place where we, the artists, can learn from and grow with fellow artists.

I truly look forward to seeing the development of this change. I know it can be a positive experience.

Not just just www.artwanted.com...many organisations...governmental ministries..churches..etc..displaying their Infighting potentiality

With all the crap going on outside in this world, you dare to bring a war of words in here, you are creaters not destroyers, find a mirror and look at yourselves, and come back after you do.

what are you teaching your children, how will our children find happy ness!? when you are covering it up as the world is doing in horrific ways.

I come to ArtWanted when I am looking for, for, for so many good things, my children come to ArtWanted to seek the same, I let them, please, dont you think the planet has enough to worry about.

Just find a smile

Well not to sound like the black sheep around here but frankly i liked the idea of a discussion board that didnt have to relate to just art topics, granted many abused the privledge, and used it as a way to treat others like crap, and play games of up one manship. But i came their to see what else was going on in artists lives other than just art, to get to know them on a personal level, (if you can online...lol). So thanks to all the jerks that had to make it an ugly board and make others suffer for their consequences.

Frankly i may have to consider departing here as this really is losing its "extra" appeal now. Im not into poetry, classifieds, rarely enter a contest, dont need critiques, dont need to discuss art itself, and adding photography discussion doesnt apply to me as i am a 3D rendering artist now. So unless people start using the Member Chat Room from now on to just chat in realtime, then for me this site will be just a posting center for me, and honestly its not why i joined this site to begin with. I belong to other sites that i dont have to pay for and can just post at.

Andy~ You might want to consider adding a symbol next to the Member Chat Room that indicates if anyone is in it so us forgotten dial up users dont have to waste their time uploading the chat to find no one in there.

Good decision one less thing for the moderators to be concerned about and they can do other things that will allow AW to be an artist commnunity.

Renate Dartois 27 Apr 2007

Well I do agree with Lisa I hate to have anything taken away because of some trouble-makers and AW it must have been clear to you as to who they were always the same ones that incited. There where a lot of nice threads going on that never had a chance because the troublemakers hi-jacked them. These people just move on to somewhere else to do the same thing that they successfully did here make trouble....

Judy Minderman 27 Apr 2007

Well, I was pretty much expecting this at one time or another. So much ugliness and fighting. Glad to see it, thanks AW and especially for keeping on the auction! Now I guess I can peruse the other boards lol :) Photography looks interesting, way to go AW :)

Richard Delay Sirs 27 Apr 2007

While remain bullish on this I do have a concern.....

I hope Andy has a made a good decision. There is a risk that the troublemakers, hack scribblers, et al . . Will merely go to the remaining boards and still cause trouble . . .Closing one board will mean distributing the problem to the remaining boards????

I suspect that might well be the case..we have to root out the troublemakers and BAN THEM FOR LIFE . . .

John Swift 27 Apr 2007

I agree with you Richard. AW is making a move in the right direction but as long as the blatent trouble makers are allowed to remain at AW I fear that they will infiltrate the other boards and continue the bullying and intimidation of other members.

jim rownd 27 Apr 2007

maybe the bad apples will just rot away and leave us alone?

Steph Salt 27 Apr 2007

That is brilliant, AW it's long been needed and I cheer your long needed return to common sense.

Though some might decide to start in one of the other sections :( But at least now they will get removed if it's not an art topic I hope?

Ricky Corbett 27 Apr 2007

I tip my hat off to the ArtWanted staff....though these decisions aren't easy to make - it's for the best for ArtWanted. Thank you so much for your support, time, and effort you put into ArtWanted. Thank you for supporting us all and ensuring that ALL artists have a great place to meet other artists, make new friends, and have a place to share our work and learn from others. I'm proud to be a member of Art Wanted...thank you so much!!!
