Print Program Demo for All Members

In celebration of our website's 9th Birthday this month, we have created a limited-time promotion called the Print Program Demo. This special promotion will allow ANY member of our site to order any of the ArtWanted.com Print-on-demand products. We want all our members to try out our print services to see the quality products and service we provide. We also hope to gather additional feedback on how our print program and products can be improved as we aim to increase sales in 2008 for our members.

The ArtWanted.com Print Program is normally only for Premium Members, but we are opening it up to all members for the month of March. We hope that everyone will take this opportunity to try out our products using your own artwork, and give us your feedback. Our members will not pay the normal retail price on these products, but will only pay the low 'artist cost' price to order these products. You can order prints/products for yourself, friends or for others that want to buy your artwork.

With this new program, you can order the following products using your own artwork:

HOW IT WORKS:

We have created a special 'Print Program Demo' account, that any ArtWanted.com member can login to and order prints/products. Here is all you need to do:

Logout of your own account and login to the new Print Program Demo account. The username is 'printdemo' and the password is 'demo'.
Upload your artwork to this special account like you would normally.*
Locate your artwork on the Print Program Demo Portfolio.
Place any print-on-demand product in your shopping cart.
Order and enjoy beautiful prints/products that feature your own artwork.
You will be sent a survey to give us your feedback on your order.

* All artwork that is uploaded to this special account will be deleted within a week of the order being shipped. This demo program will end on April 30th, 2008.

I have to wonder why you don't make the print program permanently available to all members??

There are so many other sites out there, where artists can get excellent prints without paying a membership fee, that I doubt anyone's going to pay for a premium account just to get prints.

The bulk of your members are free accounts, so I'm sure your turnover on prints would increase if you did that..

When we first launched our Print Program, there were many unknowns. We had no clue how many orders would be placed, how much server space we needed for the high-resolution images, how many customer service people we would need to hire to process the orders, what type of issues would come up, etc. Because of these unknowns, and other business reasons, we launched the print program to a smaller group of people, which is our Premium Members. This was the best way to 'test' the system and start gathering some data on the print program.

After the launch, we also found that many people told us they signed up for a Premium Membership, because of the print program. For these reasons, and many others, the print program is currently only available to Premium Members (except for this special month.)

This being said, we have considered opening up the program to all members. There are some pros and cons with this decision, so we are going over those issues and determining which direction we should go. This 'print demo' for the month of March is just one more test we are doing to gather more data/feedback to make the decision if the print program will be for all members, or just for our Premium Members.

Until we have made this decision, we invite all members to try our our print service demo during the month of March and let us know what you think of it. Thanks!

I have a Suggestion for a future addition; How about adding "Private Portfolio Prints" to the Premium Members accounts. I am sure other Premium Members like myself would like the ability to print objects that we dont want to release for Public use. Such as personal family items like mouse pads, Mugs & T-shirts. I have been asked to print items for individuals that have seen My artwork I purchased from Artwanted but they dont want them publicly available. Or indexed in the regular artwork. I for one Will place orders for items like this. Should it become an option. Make the items isolated from public view and purchase only by the account holder.. Thanks.. & Happy Birthday Artwanted. :-)

I'm assuming that this might be why there is no check box to uncheck now? I have images I need to upload, but I do NOT want them to be for sale. I don't want to sell prints of them, or have them available to buy on items. But the box is gone. The upload is set to 'yes I want to sell copies of this' and I can't opt out of that :(

Can you please put that box back.

As part of this program, all print images you want to purchase will be uploaded and purchased from this special 'print demo' account and not from your personal portfolio.

I tried it and it seems too complicated for the average user. When I get to the pricing page, it's hard to figure out what to do from that point. I figured it out, but I keep getting error pages. I would love to see some samples, because I would like to begin offering prints either for sale or as add-on gifts to my clients, but this just seems too hard to do right now.

Thanks for the feedback, let us know how we can improve it. You really don't need to go to the pricing page. We thought it was pretty simple already. Here are the steps again:

This is a great way to be able to get a'sample' of the finished product. I am interested in the mugs and I have seen some very poor transfers; ones that do not last - vanish in dishww\ashers etc; of just peel off from the heat in the mug. By the way - where is the price list ?? What form of payment do you require? in particular - PayPal.

Well I just ordered a key tag and a Magnet of one of my Fairy Paintings in the demo section.

I have to say that I found it quite easy to navigate and work out which was good.

It cost me 18 dollars but I am in Australia so postage makes it a lot more I guess.

I am excited to see what they look like though!

please let me know when you'll offer this print program demo again. i also don't understand why we can't just use this program as regular members. particularly when i tried to order prints as a premium member and couldn't. and i can't find the prices on the member's area page.
