can't stop painting lines

ok, i don't have a digital camera otherwise i would upload images of my paintings but here's my problem anyways. I am so use to drawing that when i paint they come out looking like drawings with the lines. And as I've heard time and time again from people true lines never acutally exist in nature only the illusion of a line. please advise. i've only been painting one year.

this message should probably be in the art discussion area...

regardless...do what your style is. learn to make it work. no lines do not exist in real life the way we draw them. real life is all light and color. that doesnt mean you have to create it that way...

Light, shadow and blending. Very, very lightly blend with a blending brush.

alright juan gomez, think i'm afraid to post. look at my page. i do this as a hobby and unlike so many other people i didnt have to have someone teach me how or go to school to learn how. And i don't pretend to be all artsy fartsy. I'm not going to use a crappy camera and lose the full effect of my work. if anyone wants to have a "draw off" i'd burn them. I do this between going to school full time and looking after my family. if i take my time you have no idea how good i really am. P.S-are you moderater? worry about where you post your own messages. give me advice when you think your work gives you enough credit to.
