Wise move Trixi... batten down the hatches!..:-)

Just saw the news. Airports are down, trains not running, main highways closed.......but more north west. It moved up from the Black Forest! Lots of damage there. 4 deaths so far. :-(( Here it went down to 70 kmh again, but we have alert through the night. Buschi is chirping at the moment, and since animals have an extra sense, I have a feeling we are safe here. xoxox

Hello everbody, don't worry the whole family is okay. Now it's quite calm, the storm is over, but we had till 120 km/h today. It began at 7.00 this morning and Extra was barking because some of my flowercontainers in the garden was fallen over, but no damages. I was very touched, that you was worring about me. Was very busy this week because I had my littlest granddaughter with me and couldn't write my thanks to all AW-friends. Will do this tomorrow. Big kiss from Paris to all and wish you a wonderful week.

Sorry I didnt write earlier, but I decided to tune out the wind, by taking a snooze on the couch. The wind has gone down to 60 kmh and there is nothing to worry about in my area, although they remain on alert. It hit the north worse! Good to see Stef' is ok!!! Im off to bed...have to get up at 4.15, to get ready for leaving the house at 5.45 for the hospital. Hope I dont see noone, cause starting the day without coffee and a ciggie IS NOT MY THING!!!!! ;-))) Hugs to all! Be bad and enjoy life! See ya's soon!

Just a note to say thanks for posting those videos Armando.. I've now viewed them several times..:-)

It's almost embarrassing to admit that I'm a total addict to rough seas and heavy weather.. such a shame that these savage forces, which I love so much, cause such a lot of damage and death...

"Xynthia causes more than fifty dead in Europe after leaving Galicia"

Sad news to start the day with.

Trixi had the surgery this early morning. Get well soon, girl! :-)

Time to reflect after the storm.

Photo taken Summer 2009. Delicious fruit free of chemical products.

These are not grapes but pears. Someone said that they look like clusters of grapes. I have this tree at El Val but it is very close to the house (less than five meters) and it can be a hazard in case of another storm. It's time for a haircut :-) I'll cut the top part of this peartree.

Terry near 50 degrees here today, bright and sunny...didn't need a coat today. Went driving on the island here with the windows open....dreaming that soon i can put the top down!

So glad everyone made it safely thru that hurricaine! i lost a house in the "Perfect Storm" of 1992 and then in this century lost a car to hurricaine Wilma. I am grateful to say I have never lost anyone i knew to the storms. Unfortunately Humans were not so kind, and i lost a cousin in the WTC attack of 9/11/01.
