Work you put in your portfolio to display should be "all" yours. Not a photo of someone elses work. I wouldn't suggest putting this piece in unless you did 100% of the work. after all this is an artist site where artists display their own work.

Hi, I put an image together of this actress I admire. I want to display it in my portfolio. But I don't have the photographer's permission to do so. I can't find a name connected with her picture. I've contacted a few places I believe I can reach him, but haven't gotten a response back yet. Can anyone give me any pointers? I just want to display it, not sell the image.
