Greetings To All Members Of The Art Wanted Artist Group - Yellow Flowers

As artists, our work is often solitary. Humans are social beings and that’s one of the reasons we join artistic websites.

Other Artist Groups have Contests and Challenges. For something a little different, would you like to consider this – a Group Collaboration on the theme of SUMMER.

No Showdowns. No prizes to be won. No First Place, Second Place, Third Place Mentions. It’s about Participation where each artwork submitted is of equal value. It’s about artists working together as a group to reflect what our summers look like.

The Guidelines are:

• Submit as many artworks as you would like into this Artist Group that definitely reflect the theme of SUMMER

• Indicate in the Description Box – ARTIST GROUP COLLABORATION – SUMMER THEME – 2009.

• The artworks in this ARTIST GROUP COLLABORATION - SUMMER THEME should be submitted to Art Wanted between June 21, 2009 and September 21, 2009. In other words, artwork prior to June 21, 2009 does NOT qualify.

• Of course, you are always welcome to submit artwork to this Artist Group which reflects any theme – in other words, that doesn’t have the Collaboration written in the description box.

• Follow the regular Guidelines of this Group.

• Dates for submission are June 21, 2009 to September 21, 2009

• If you would like to participate in this Collaboration, please indicate so by replying to the Post.. This project will be launched if 2 or more members wish to participate. Please wait for a new topic to be released BEFORE indicating the Challenge in the Description Box. The new topic will be entitled SUMMER THEME COLLABORATION – 2009 Is On. Then any artwork you submitted to Art Wanted on June 21, 2009 or later, specifically with the SUMMER Theme , can be edited to have Collaboration written in the Description Box.

What’s in it for you? Well,

• All during the summer, a weekly newsletter will be sent to all group members indicating the links to the Collaboration Artworks.

• Each artwork that is submitted to the Collaboration will have a topic placed in the MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Forum. Yes, EACH. Artwork. A link to the specific Collaboration artwork will be placed in the topic for easy access. That may bring more views to your entry (entries) and possibly to your entire portfolio page.

• At the end of the Collaboration (in other words just after September 21), a new topic will be placed in the MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Forum indicating all members who participated in the Collaboration with a link to their Portfolio Page.

No need to worry about doing the 3 above tasks. That’s one of the things an Artist Group Moderator/Admin does for you.
