my Art is a means to explore such primal topics as the search for our origins, our instinctive desires, femininity and not so obviously masculinity.

Like the Greeks that came before, I wish to capture emotion and abstract concepts through nature and what better then to express this via the female form. Not only is life at its most basic connected to that of a woman, but what would be a better analogy for personal evolution than the life cycle or should I say, “lives cycle” than the human female, free from the clothing, of self loathing and weight of conformity.

With my slightly erotic interpretations of eve and the tree of knowledge titled Utero in Geneses I hope stay true to the above.

Each original was done in coloured pencil or coloured chalk and ink outlined. From there they were printed on photo grade card stock or canvas sheets.

I do not think I can ever transcribe the awe I get when connecting to my feminine side, or properly describe the goose bumps I get when observing the feminine energy that’s around me. But never the less each lady in each and every print I believe has an pathos.
