Funny you saying that Rebecca, but in the early years, as you probably well know photographers always began their training with B&W because it was the best way to learn composition and elements of design. Perhaps they no longer do that. Pity. Obviously, you have not overlooked this. Well done Rebecca.

Artist Reply: Calvin...i am not young...in the School of Communications and Theatre at Temple University(B.S. '72) our work in TV began in the black and white studio...in photography, both my self-made internship and in formal training in a photography school(boring after the internship i had created for myself) i also started with black and white....glad to chat about this with you (i have some funny stories about the old black and white movies)

I like this black-'n-white composition!

Artist Reply: Thank you Olga...i'm very glad you liked this...black and white, and also greyscale achieve a lot and are a challenge for artists especially when working with with a lens. many young people have told me they love greyscale and B&W...they have seen color all their lives...this is new to them!
