Hail, hail the gangs all here!

After eating our typical hiking lunch of cheese and crackers, fruit and nuts, we had to hide under the pine trees while pea sized hail came down. it was actually fun.. but I wondered how those hikers who had nothing with them felt. You can get hypothermia in July at 11,000 feet.

good that you had shelter and food...and here in north Texas I was at risk for heat exhaustion by taking a longer route on the paved path (by mistake) and not having my water bottle with me; it was mostly shaded but still hot and tiring...won't do that again!
