Théatre-Musée Salvador Dali, Figueras/Spain

This is the museum-entrance with the background curtain, painted by Dali 1941 for the ballet "Labyrinth". The museum, the largest surrealistic object collection of the world, is housed in a nineteenth century building and was the former Muncipal Theatre. It was destroyed at the end of Spanish civil war. Salvador Dali decided in the early '60s to build his museum and it is considered as the greatest work of Dali. Everything has been conceived and designed by the artist. Hope you enjoy the visit and thank you for looking and commenting. Mars 2010
