Heading for Town

This is the Enumclaw Foothills trail as you walk toward town, where the trail ends...for now. There is still alot of railroad line to convert into trail (may be a while). On the left of the trail is Hwy 410 with the outskirts of town left of that. To the right of the trail is the re-development of wetlands that were there originally. Behind the sign on the 2nd photo is farmland that surrounds the town on the plateau that is literally at the foot of the mountains. In the winter, when the snow level drops, two herds of elk, (over 20 in one, over 40 in the other), hang out in this and neighboring pastures. I live in a very unique and special place..... :-)

This reminds me of El Val, rural area where I live several months. It's a wonderful valley: trees, always green grass, birds... peace. You're lucky indeed.
